Great news! The first of our large CNCs, the Bergmaster VTC-150 Vertical Mill has been repaired. Basically a couple of relays needed to be rebuilt and some limit switched needed to be replaced and then bam! it was up and running. We are in the process of learning the controls and getting the correct tooling. But a video of us learning the first steps from a helpful operator can be seen here CNC First Video. Hopefully people will have some projects ready to go once we get all the tooling together!

Congrats on getting the mill up and running! There was a person who was curious as to the homing routine or settings. There are actually 2 systems in play, 1 is an absolute or machine coordinates. The other (which the person is asking about) is called work or part coordinates or offset. This is a manually set position usually beginning on the corner of the stock to be cut. The machine coordinates dont change as they are physically the limits of the machine.
