Non-obvious question of the day: Do we have to bring a Laptop with a Linux distro installed w/ libraries and a C compiler?

I know the basics of C, but have not touched the advance stuff in years.

You can if you like, but you don't have to. It might be better if you do, as then you can take a working set of stuff home with you, but if you don't have such a setup, that's fine too. We have computers in the class room and can run linux in a VM and compile in the VM and so on, or at least that's the plan.

Yeih! Less stress for me! Thanks for letting me know!

PS I have a new laptop, I have to review the details before installing debian, and GRUB 2.
