Bio: Mike Reynolds

Born in California, Mike has lived in Texas for as long as he can remember. He started playing around with electronics at age 13 when he got an electronics experimenter kit from Radio Shack for Christmas. He built his first computer (a Timex Sinclair 1000) from a kit at age 15 and has been fiddling with electronics and writing code for the last 30 years since. He currently works for Thomson Reuters writing software in C# related to SEC filings. He is enthusiastic about building and flying RC aircraft (primarily those without wings), 3D design, 3D printing and is learning CNC milling/machining.

About TX/RX Labs

Established in 2008, TX/RX Labs is a non-profit hackerspace for the greater Houston area. Housed in the East End District, we offer courses in and access to our rapid prototyping lab, woodshop, machineshop, electronics lab, and a wide variety of other tools. Our goal is to educate the public about technology and show how seemingly complex techniques can be used by anyone. If you like what we do, please donate.
