PPE Production FAQ

Thank you to everyone who has emailed us wanting to help produce PPE. We wanted to take some time and answer the frequently asked questions we have been receiving through our social media and help desk.

Is the lab open? What is going on with PPE production?

TXRX Labs is currently closed to members. Our staff who can work from home are doing so, but we have a group who is coming in everyday to produce face shields. We have an assembly line set up, working to print, assemble, and deliver face shields.

I sent an email wanting to volunteer, but I have not heard back.

When anyone emails info@txrxlabs.org, it goes to our Help Desk System, Fresh Desk. We read each email, find out how you want to help and add your email to a spreadsheet under that column. Then we close the ticket so we know it has been recorded.

We are working with the Medical Center to make sure that the face shields and masks we plan to produce are going to protect our medical professionals properly. All of the files, patterns, and prototypes have to be approved by before we can share them with everyone.

We have created a webpage to house all of the instructions, patterns, and files. When we have approval for everything it will go live. All of our volunteers will be emailed and can begin producing PPE with us. The great thing about this is he information will not only be available to our volunteers, everyone will have access.

I live in another city/state/country, can you send me your STL file and pattern?

We have created a webpage to house all of the instructions, patterns, and files. When we have approval from the Medical Center on all of our designs, the site will go live. Anyone who wants to download the files will have access to them.

I am a Medical Professional, how can I get PPE?

The webpage we have made (which will go live soon) will have a form that people requesting PPE can fill out.

I don't know how to sew or 3D print, how can I help?

We need drivers to help pick up and deliver supplies and PPE. We are also looking for volunteers to help us source materials. You can email us at info@txrxlabs.org to volunteer.

Where can I donate?
